And How Was Your Night?

So here we are again, only this time there are not as many. It is a quiet night. Everyone seems to be keeping to themselves. Of course I have already established my little snuggle friend for the night. Going into tonight, I knew there wasn’t going to be many but I knew I would easily find a friend, more like a friend would find me. Now here I am typing with a Cavachon resting on my knee. That is one thing you can always appreciate about dogs. They always love you. Even if they are not yours. They have been created with an inner loyalty and great allegiance. To many, they are very special; members of our family. When you think about it, we are truly blessed to have these little friends in our lives. They fill a void in our lives that no human can possibly fill. They have limitless amounts of forgiveness. They have kindness in their eyes. Yes, let’s not forget those puppy eyes. What I enjoy about this evening is that as I look around, there seems to be about one of everything in here. There is a Lab, Springer Spaniel, Husky, Cavachon, Doberman, German Shepherd, Sheltie, and a couple mixes of who knows what. All from many different walks of life, yet somehow we all come together. Everyone had a fun day of running around and playing and now they are ready for bed. Well, except for one. This little white mix of some kind is just a little uneasy. She starts crying and wants to go home. She comes over by my bed where I am just laying down for the night. I was hopeful that I was going to get some sleep, I guess not. With already two little dogs in my bed and a Lab next to my bed, she nudges her way under my arm. And that is where we slept the rest of the night. And by the rest of the night I really mean for a few hours on and off until 5am.

And for now,

Xoxo
