Just a little helmet update

Mason is progressing very well with his helmet adjustments. We go in every 2 weeks to get the helmet re-sized and sometimes have to get fitted for a new one. He recently had his 6 month check up at the doctor and he is in the 90th percentile for his head size! I thought his head looked kinda big! He is also in the 90th percentile for height as well! He is going to be taller than me by the age of 10. He is growing like a weed! Mason loves going to his appointments. He absolutely loves people. We see the same lady for the helmet appointments each time and she always comments about how happy he always is. He also has been going to physical therapy every 2 weeks for his Torticollis which is also improving. Him being such an active baby has helped. He is always doing tummy time and moving around. It is estimated that by the end of the month, he will have graduated out of both the helmet and physical therapy. So, that is very exciting news for us. I am really glad that we decided to do the helmet. You can literally see the progress right before your eyes which is crazy. His head shape has come such a long way and I thank medical intervention and the technology we have these days available to us. It’s almost going to be kinda weird without the helmet. I am so used to him wearing it. It’s even kinda nice with all the rolling around he is doing because he is always banging his head on something! However, as much as I really don’t mind cold weather, I am going to miss all the stroller walks. We go for stroller walks outside almost every single day and it’s one of Mason’s favorite things to do. In the winter, I am going to have to walk the mall or something. It’s been so nice incorporating it into our afternoon. It really breaks up the day. Our walk is about 2 miles so it has also been very good for my health too. Sometimes I also take our husky Shadow. We always go the same route, but sometimes, when we are feeling extra adventurous, we reverse the route. This is the thrilling life I live.

And for now,

Xoxo
